London Stadium Event – Major League Baseball

The London Stadium played host to the Major League Baseball regular league fixture between the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Socks in the summer of 2019. There was a complex build in converting the London Stadium from football mode to a baseball field which had never been done before.

ICE played a key role in supporting the event with a range of event safety and management services including:

• Competent health and safety advice
• Pre-event planning / attending planning meetings
• Multi-agency planning meetings
• Construction planning
• CDM Management
• Provision of health and safety advisors throughout the build phase and derig phase (working 16 – 24 hours each day)
• Provision of Event Safety Personnel during the event
• Accident, incident and near miss reporting and investigation
